Call from JCB (Young Communists Belgium)

War and crisis loom; those subjected to exploitation live in uncertainty and face an ever-increasing threat of poverty.

The bourgeois state and its governments are organising the intensification of exploitation. This attack on the working class is being met with more intense workers’ struggle and growing consciousness among workers and youth.

Participation on the 1st of May as a day of struggle is therefore essential again this year. It is the duty of revolutionaries to be at the forefront of the struggle against Arizona, capitalism and the ever-
growing threat of imperialist war.

The latter is of particular importance, because although young people are fighting with increasing enthusiasm, the majority of the working class remains unorganised. Some are misled by opportunist organisations, whose leadership sells out their struggle for reconciliation with the bourgeoisie. As a result, people become demotivated and demobilised, after which many lose hope in the struggle.

Out of this sense of powerlessness, people are plagued by cynicism and defeatism. Yet things do not have to stay this way; internationally, communists are once again organising en masse, in Greece, Turkey, Spain, …

It is clear that to take our future into our own hands, we need our own revolutionary struggle organisation, one that can welcome working people and provide leadership in the struggle for socialism-communism.

FIGHT SECTARIANISM, FIGHT IN THE INTERESTS OF THE WORKING CLASS

Scientific socialism is not a dogma, but a science that guides us in our struggle. Communists must not isolate themselves in fragmented study circles or small groups. We must engage with the lived reality of the working class and build structures to advance their struggle and unity. That is why we are building an organization in which workers and youth contribute with their theoretical and practical knowledge, starting from their own place of study, living, or work.

Join us for International Workers’ Day. Stay in touch with our organisation and find out how you too can contribute to the communist movement!
